Microsoft is reporting that the Rise of the Tomb Raider video-game from Square Enix/Crystal Dynamics has sold over 1 Million copies since its release for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10, 2015.
According to a recent post by Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President of Marketing for Xbox, the Xbox timed-exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider has sold over 1 million copies.
However, no actual numbers or figures has been released by Square Enix or Crystal Dynamics yet to back up this claim.
Luckily the PC version will be out in January 2016, no exact date yet, and later in 2016 (fall) the Playstation 4 version.
Rise of the Tomb Raider builds upon the formula that made Tomb Raider a success, and features the return of Camilla Luddington as Lara Croft. Camilla will take character performance to new heights as Lara pushes herself beyond human limits and is confronted with what it means to become a hero. Once again, Crystal Dynamics is proud to have the award-winning author Rhianna Pratchett as a key member of the writing team, helping craft a story that delves into Lara’s inner turmoil and motivations in this critical second act of her journey.
